Jaclyn LeFebre is originally from Dripping Springs, Texas, where she began her dance training at Fusion Dance Company. She studied the Cecchetti Method extensively and successfully completed Cecchetti Council of America examinations from Grade I through Advanced, earning Commended marks.
Upon graduating from high school, Ms. LeFebre received both dance and academic scholarships to attend the University of Arizona. While there, she performed works by renowned choreographers including George Balanchine, James Clouser, Susan Quinn, Michael Williams, and Sam Watson. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance before moving to Chicago, where she was selected for the Hubbard Street Scholarship Program at Lou Conte Dance Studio.
A member of Actors’ Equity Association, Ms. LeFebre has performed extensively in professional theatre throughout the Chicago area. Her credits include 42nd Street, The Music Man, and Timon of Athens at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, as well as Shout!, My One and Only, Now and Forever, and Mary Poppins at Marriott Theatre. Among her favorite roles are Cha Cha DiGregorio in Grease, Cassandra in Cats, and Kristine in A Chorus Line at Paramount Theatre. Her additional performance credits include dancing with Beyoncé for The Oprah Winfrey Show farewell episode, leading a flash mob for Estée Lauder, and performing with Chicago Freelance Dance.
In addition to her professional performance career, Ms. LeFebre has extensive experience as a dance educator. She taught at numerous studios throughout the Chicago area and served as Director of Tap at The Academy of Dance Arts before returning to Central Texas. She holds a Contemporary Dance teaching certification through Rambert Grades and is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), yoga, and yoga sculpt instructor.
Since returning to the Austin area, Ms. LeFebre has continued to teach and mentor young dancers, drawing upon her diverse background in ballet, contemporary dance, tap, musical theatre, and professional performance. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of dance while helping the next generation of dancers develop strong technique, versatility, artistry, and confidence.
