Ms. Reeder had the honor to study dance pedagogy through an apprenticeship with Marcia Dale Weary at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB), where she was fortunate enough to observe the teaching styles of various faculty members including another influential teacher, Leslie Hench. During her internship at CPYB, Ms. Reeder gained experience as a teacher’s assistant and teaching ballet to various levels, as well as college students and athletes enrolled at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.
As a student, Ms. Reeder trained at Munro Ballet Studios in Corpus Christi and at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She has performed in numerous full-length ballets, including George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™, and she attended summer intensive workshops at The Rock School, American Ballet Theatre, Houston Ballet Academy and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
She is certified to teach Pilates through the Core Connections® Pilates Teacher Training Program. She is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and has her Grade 1 and Grade 2 teaching certifications from the Cecchetti Council of America. Ms. Reeder has also attended Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher Training (Pre-Ballet) in the Vaganova Method and successfully passed the certification exam.
Ms. Reeder is an active member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and participates in community volunteer events throughout the year.
