Sandra Organ Solis was trained under the Royal Academy of Dancing Syllabus by Valerie Roche in Omaha Nebraska, where she was raised by two Texans as their first girl after 5 boys! She moved to Texas to join to Houston Ballet as its first Black ballerina under Artistic Director of Ben Stevenson. Sandra danced twelve years as a soloist in her 15 seasons, dancing classical and contemporary roles.
She founded her own dance ensemble, Earthen Vessels, The Sandra Organ Dance Company, and has choreographed over 100 ballets! Sandra is a Guest Lecturer in Ballet Technique at University of Texas at Austin, and has taught extensively in the last two decades regionally and nationally.
